How can we learn to live and thrive in the presence of stress - on the spot, on demand, in the moment?
Though the precise mechanisms are not yet fully understood, the effects of chronic stress on the body and brain are well known, and much lamented. Our stress responses - designed for short-term, emergency action - are now being triggered far too easily, and staying active far too long.
ALL OF OUR COURSES ARE BUILT WITH THE FOLLOWING METHODOLOGY:
Overview
Our workshops and retreats are designed to create profound and lasting immunity to all forms of psychological stress, and are appropriate for men and women of all ages and ability levels. Applicable to both work and daily life stressors, our training methodology is based on established research in human physiology and neuroscience, and the training methods of elite athletes, performers, and military operatives.
Each course includes the following three elements. We call it the KnAC for managing that stress trigger:
Knowledge
Establishing the appropriate context, by exploring the relevant facts, ideas and theories. Building a solid foundation for further understanding.
Awareness
Learning to detect the subtle signs, symptoms, and triggers related to stress, fear, and conflict. Examining your unique response patterns, and the patterns we all share.
Control
Applying practical physiological control measures, and setting the path for successful implementation through behaviour change.
